How does needle-free hair transplant work?

Using a high-pressure spray device positioned on the scalp, anaesthetic medications are delivered into the tissues. The medication diffuses into the tissue, effectively blocking the nerves responsible for transmitting pain.

Once the skin is numbed, our medical team will administer the anaesthetic medication more deeply into the skin and massage the scalp to ensure even distribution of the drug.

Frequently asked questions about Needle Free Hair Transplant

Hair transplant procedures, such as FUE (Follicular Unit Extraction) and DHI (Direct Hair Implant), are generally not highly uncomfortable and can be compared to the discomfort experienced during a dental check-up. Although the procedures are minimally invasive, some discomfort may be felt due to the small incisions made in the scalp. However, there are methods to minimize pain associated with hair transplants.

The FUE method involves three steps: extraction, channel opening, and implantation. During the extraction phase, grafts are carefully removed from the donor areas using manual or motorized punches. In the channel opening stage, small holes are created in the scalp using Sapphire or metal blades, and in the implantation phase, the hair grafts are meticulously inserted into these holes.

The DHI method reduces the number of stages, making the procedure less painful. The extraction phase is the same as in the FUE method, but in the implantation phase, grafts are placed into a special device called the Choi Pen and directly inserted into the skin layers, eliminating the need for a separate channel opening.

Local Anesthesia for Hair Transplant Procedures Hair transplant procedures are performed using local anesthesia, administered through standard needles. The anesthesia agent is injected into the scalp at the donor site and recipient area before the surgery begins.

While there may be some mild discomfort during the initial needle insertion and until the anesthesia takes effect, the scalp becomes numb, reducing any further sensation.

Needle-Free Alternative for Fear of Needles For patients with needle phobia, we offer a needle-free anesthesia alternative to minimize pain and discomfort associated with traditional numbing injections. Our clinic utilizes the Comfort-in system, which employs jet injection technology.

With this advanced technology, the scalp can be numbed before any injections, ensuring a painless experience throughout the procedure. Your comfort is our top priority, and we strive to provide a fully numb scalp before initiating the hair transplant.

No, it does not. The correct term for this technique is pre-needleless anesthesia, where the skin is partially numbed before the anesthesia injections are made, ensuring a painless injection procedure.
